I know...we disappeared

We've had a tough three months in my family. Beginning November 24, my daddy was admitted to the hospital. He passed away December 28. Thanksgiving was not celebrated, Christmas either. I've not had interest in posting on the site, and I am sorry for that.

I did want to share Madeline's beautiful story shared on our local station and developed by a great anchor Joy Howe.

Madeline is still doing great. She is now 12 years old and taller than me.

I will get back on the blog, just still trying to get over our very large loss.

Here is a picture of Madeline (2008) at her classroom birthday party. Here you will notice her malar rash and grottron's papules on her hands. Of course at this time we had no idea what was going on.

Here is a picture of Madeline at her 9th birthday party. The only redness you see now is the nornal redness from running around at your birthday party. My, what a difference a year makes.
